    • Pause and resume. Pause freezes the whole job, including FFmpeg, and stops the clock. Resume carries on exactly where it stopped.
    • Cancel. Stops the job and removes its unfinished files. Your originals are never touched.
    • Hide. Tucks the card away while the job keeps running, and a tray notification tells you when it finishes.
    • Two at a time. Two jobs run in parallel and the rest wait their turn. Long encodes are never cut off.

    Does license activation require internet?

    No. DropDial uses offline public-key cryptography (ECDSA P-256). When you enter your key, it is verified 100% locally on your machine with zero server pings or telemetry.

    Are my files uploaded anywhere?

    Never. Everything is processed on your computer by native system engines. DropDial works seamlessly in air-gapped environments without any internet connection.

    What is the Actions Dial?

    The Actions Dial gives you instant universal shortcuts at your cursor. Hold ⌃ Control (macOS) or Alt (Windows) while dragging any file, or press F10 to AirDrop, copy paths, move files, strip EXIF metadata, float files to shelf, or jump straight into Terminal.

    Where do the converted files go?

    Into the same folder as the original, with a suffix such as photo-converted.jpg. If that name exists, a number is appended. Your original files are never altered or overwritten.

    Do I need Microsoft Office?

    Only for layout-exact exports of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files into PDF or images. DropDial drives your installed Office suite for 100% pixel-perfect fidelity. Without Office, you can still extract raw text and data.

    How do I update or uninstall it?

    Quit DropDial from the menu bar / system tray. To update, simply replace the application with the latest release. To uninstall, delete the application. DropDial leaves no registry clutter or startup hooks.
