Privacy policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
DropDial is a high-performance desktop file converter and native media suite for macOS and Windows. In short: your files never leave your computer, and the app collects zero personal data.
The DropDial app
- Your files stay on your computer. All conversions and edits run locally with native system APIs and bundled engines (FFmpeg, 7-Zip, Python). Nothing is uploaded, and the app works completely offline.
- No network connections. The app does not contact any external server: no accounts, ads, analytics, telemetry or crash reporting.
- Hotkeys and gestures. DropDial monitors dragging actions and hotkeys to bring up the wheel under your cursor when you drag files. It does not record what you type.
- Local logs. Local logs in your app data folder record events such as "job finished" and error messages to help with troubleshooting. They never leave your machine, are capped in size, and can be deleted at any time.
- Settings. Your preferences and options are saved locally in your user application directory.
- Office tools. Local document conversions use native tools or installed Office suites without altering your system privacy settings.
